Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

Randy Pausch
Randy Pausch was dying from cancer. Instead of feeling bad for himself, he did a lecture on achieving childhood dreams. He was a professor that ventured into teaching VR. Randy Pausch teaching method was fantastic. He taught on his child dreams. He taught on enabling the dreams of others. And he also taught on lessens learned when comes to living your childhood dreams or enabling the dreams of others.

He expounded on his childhood dreams of becoming an astronaut,NFL football player, to meet Captain Kirk and becoming an imagineer. He had that grand opportunity to experience gravity in reference to floating like an astronaut. He had the opportunity to play football but not in the NFL. He got the chance to meet Captain Kirk. His most accomplished dream was to became an imagineer. He went to Disney World thinking to himself that he wanted to make the imaginee like the one there. He later went to college and pursued his dream to become a imaginer. He sweet talked himself into world of VR. So he ended up working on an Aladdin VR.

Then he went on to talk about enabling the childhood dreams of others. One of his students tells him he wants to work on the upcoming Star Trek. He did this not knowing there would be another making of Star Trek. And his student did get the chance to work on the next Star Trek. He later had a course on VR to enable others to accomplish their childhood dreams.

Lessons Learned when it comes to achieving your childhood dreams or enabling others' childhood dreams is very important. One lesson was on when brick walls are put up, it's to see how bad you really want it. Another was that knowing or realizing that you need others to accomplish your dreams. In conclusion, Randy Pausch stated that, "He did this lecture for his kids."
